Cotristar Syrup (Trimethoprim 40 mg, Sulphamethoxazole 200 mg) belongs to the Sulfonamide-trimethoprim combination antibacterial (co-trimoxazole) class of medicines, manufactured by Star Laboratories (Pvt) Ltd, Lahore, Pakistan.
Co-trimoxazole is used to treat infections such as urinary tract infections, middle ear infections, bronchitis, traveller's diarrhoea, and shigellosis. It combines two antibacterial agents that act together against bacteria.
Dosage & Administration
The dose, frequency and duration of treatment must be determined by a registered physician according to the condition and the response of the patient. Always follow the prescription and the approved package insert. Route of administration: Oral.
Storage
Store below 30°C in a dry place, protected from light. Shake well before use. Keep the bottle tightly closed and out of the reach of children.
